Installation Instructions
To ensure the smooth installation of Bosch Smart Lock ( "the Company") door lock services, customers are kindly reminded to note the following:
1. Appointment Time
Please ensure someone is present at the site during the scheduled appointment. If the installer arrives and cannot access the site, a short waiting period will be allowed at discretion; if the wait exceeds this time, it will be considered a no-show reschedule, and the customer must rebook and pay an administrative fee of $400.
2. Installation Duration
Installation and basic setup take approximately two hours. Installers provide only basic operational guidance. Network and third-party app instructions are handled separately. If the customer is not present or other factors hinder training, the Company will offer remote customer support.
3. Worksite Impact
The installation may produce debris such as wood shavings. Customers are advised to prepare for cleanup themselves. Waste removal is not included in the installation service. Please keep the installation area clear and avoid moving furniture or frequent entry and exit during the work.
4. Rescheduling and Cancellation
Any rescheduling requires at least two working days' notice. Late notice will be treated as a no-show reschedule, requiring a new appointment and a $400 administrative fee. Changes not caused by the Company are subject to the same rule. If service is canceled after the installer arrives, a $400 travel fee will be charged.
5. Battery and Metal Gate Notes
Customers must prepare 2A alkaline batteries for the required battery type, preferably the “Energizer” or “Duracell” brands. Metal gates may affect the field of view of video-function locks; please consider carefully before purchase.
6. Network Requirements
Wi-Fi connection models require a stable 2.4GHz network onsite with router frequency hopping or smart mode disabled. The Company is not responsible if installation cannot be completed due to network issues, and a separate appointment and administrative fee will be necessary.
7. Additional Charges
Basic installation fee is $900. Remote areas and stairs incur additional charges. Please provide door photos to the Company at least four working days before installation for pre-assessment. Failure to provide photos will result in pricing based on onsite evaluation. Additional accessory fees apply as needed. For inquiries, please contact us anytime.
Remote Areas (e.g., Mid-Levels, Discovery Bay, Ma Wan, Tung Chung, villages beyond a 15-minute walk from the nearest subway station): HKD $200
Outlying Islands: No service provided
Stair Fees (starting from the first floor): HKD $50
Changes or Cancellations:
Changes or cancellations must be notified at least two working days in advance; otherwise, additional fees will apply:
Without prior notice: Administrative fee of HKD $400
If the installer cannot complete installation on-site: On-site fee of HKD $400

8. Legal Disclaimer
Except as required by applicable law, the Company is not liable for any personal or property loss caused by mechanical failure or misuse. The Company reserves the right to amend these instructions and fees, which will be posted on the official website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the latest terms. In case of disputes, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region courts shall have jurisdiction.
